Do guys lie about getting a vasectomy?

This guy and I are **** buddies but I think we both know we want more. He has three kids and is 40 yrs old. He said he got a vasectomy but talks about wishing he could have a kid with someone he actually loves bc he wasn't in love when he married the first or second one. He only married them bc they got pregnant. I'm worried now. Do u think he could be lying? Do guys say that **** to trap girls?
