I have a tiny kitchen what can I put on the upper wall ?

My kitchen is tiny and I need some ideas for the one wall above the counters near the ceiling. Its about 8 inches wide and 12ft long. I don't want a border.....can't stand that look anymore. I do like the norman rockwell plates but the one's I've seen don't have anything on back to hang them with. Any ideas?
