I was wondering if i should sue and if so how much to sue for?

I was shopping in lowe's home improvement. When i was finished i left with my cart. The cart was the basic push cart not one of those larger carts. When i was heading to my truck i had stepped into a pothole with my right foot. I was not ready for it because it was a surprise. My leg had swiftly snapped backwards(hyper extended). It made a loud crackling noise and the pain was so unbelievable. They had called an ambulance for me because i could not walk or drive. I believe i tore my acl or another ligament. There was a snow storm a few weeks before the incident. I would guess the pothole was made from a snow plow or something.
