Xbox 360 2 red rings and fan goes crazy when i turn it on?

my xbox had the 3 rings of death but i recently fixed it myself due to the fact that my warranty expired and now everytime i turn it on it lights up green but my fan goes into overdrive and after about a minute or two i get two red lights and it shuts off, does anyone know what could be causing this and what i could do to fix it?
